Team Nova Scotia Wins National Senior Men's Flag Invitational (04/20/2010)
Submitted by: Raland Kinley Congratulations to Team Nova Scotia which featured many of the MFTL's star players for winning the National Senior Men's Flag Invitational this past weekend. Team Nova Scotia defeated the St-Jean Wolfpack from Quebec in a 20-19 nail-biter that was decided on the game's final play. Team Nova Scotia will represent Canada at the International Federation of American Football's World Flag Championship to be held in Ottawa, Ontario, August 11th?14th. Submitted by: Raland Kinley The first annual meeting is scheduled for May 4th at 7pm at the Bloomfield Centre. Each team must have at least one representative in attendance. New teams and new players looking for teams are welcome to attend. Spring League Football at Burnside Turf (02/21/2010)
Submitted by: Raland Kinley Organizers wish to gauge interest in having a spring touch football league. Games will happen on Sunday mornings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM starting on March 21st and ending on May 9th (covering 8 weeks). If you have a team interested in playing, contact Shawn Johnson. Submitted by: Raland Kinley The initial league meeting for 2009 will be held in Room 108 at the Bloomfield Centre (2786 Agricola Street). All teams interested in participating this season must have a representative at the meeting (normal fines apply to those teams not present). A number of people have expressed interest in submitting a new team. If anyone knows of others looking to put in a team, please invite them to this meeting.
